anesthetized pawn not rapeable?

I had a large number of grizzy bear manhunters assualt my colony. So I decided that I let the resident masochist take one for the team.

Er, make that 40ish.

Since I did not have time to have the other colonists administer a a proper beatdown and I did not want the slut to be torn to pieces by the bears, I had a sleeping spot outside the colony walls made into a medical sleeping spot. Then, I had the masochist anesthetized.

Next, the screen filled "bear trying to rape" and when they arrived, the manhunter bears just milled around as their normal blood thirsty selves.

I guess an anesthetized pawn is considered "downed" is some parts of the code. But, not in others?
