Unbreak nursery BC.  Probably still doesn't work but at least it's not accessing undefined variables anymore, so it won't get in the way of upgrading games.

notable tweaks to chem, cut some condition damage due to tiredness and the introduction of surgeryDamage for surgical losses of health so player skill can get involved.
