Multi-piece Deviantart Images Only Downloaded When Forced With "Retry and force overwrite"

So, with Gallery-DL, I'm aware it only currently downloads extra images from multi-piece works when using the single post extractor, but for some reason, with Hydownloader, it only works when forcing a redownload. I'm not aware of what the API equivalent is, but in Hydownloader-systray, it's the "Retry and force overwrite" option that makes it download the extra images.

I noticed they both use DeviantartDeviationExtractor, but the behavior doesn't seem to match that of Gallery-DL by itself for some reason. It occurs every time, and it still happens if the #image-1 part of the url is modified or omitted.
