You may contribute to this project via a Merge Request.
Please try to keep the repository CLEAN and ORGANIZED!
If you don't know how to make one, keep reading.
What is a Merge Request?
A Merge Request or Pull Request is a safe way to integrate changes into someone's repo.
It consists in you, the requester, asking for someone, in the target repo, to merge your code onto a specific branch.
How do I open a Merge Request?
- Create a new branch with a descriptive name, such as:
my_username/the_feature_im_trying_to_add
- Commit your changes to the branch you just created
- Push the changes once you're done
- Go on the project overview page on gitgud. If you just finished pushing your branch, you'll have a notification on the top, asking you if you want to create a merge request. Go in there.
- Write a descriptive title, write a good description if necessary.
- Make sure "Delete source branch when merge request is accepted" is checked, so it deletes your branch after it's merged.
- Double check everything. If it looks good, submit it.
Note: You may want to create your merge request before you're actually finished with it. If this is the case, please put WIP: in front of your request, so nobody will merge it by accident.
