## Development priorities

This is mainly what is on the bug tracker(s), most of the time not requiring
invasive changes.

This is represented by the "big picture" problems that remain to be solved.

, but the process got interrupted and stalled. Due to user encouragement,
the focus for 0.8.6 shifted to audio, pathfinder and lots of polishing work.

8.7 will therefore start with a renewed focus on the subviews branch.
It will also mark the switch to the C++11 standard. Once the branch is
merged, we can also start working on the port to python3.
Since it is in a branch, the subviews windowing rewrite (and more) is not
bound to any release, so work can continue independently. Due to the volume
of changes and the merge&refactoring problems they introduce,
making it ready for prime time is the
**single most important TODO item**
.
