Something goes wrong if you set your attention to "support your head girl". I believe it may have to do with namespaces and the required functions not being available for App.UI.View.MainLinks.

activeSlaveRel() in walkPast is failing too for some reason. Any ideas?

You are right: pronoun vars are declared inside this scope: if (V.HeadGirl) {. They are useless there and not visible from outside of the scope.

No idea about walkPast, but there is the same mistake in relatedSlave().

BTW (#689 (closed)), VS Code shows all these errors, while ESLint does not.

Going to tag @kopareigns and @Skriv too. Need to figure out the why on this as it is a bad error.

I know the difference, I just wasn't paying attention, apparently. I'll keep a closer eye out in the future.
