Unfortunately, V.passageSwitchHandler seems to fire even when the passage is refreshed, making it useless for my purposes here. And leaving V.tempSlave floating around is risky. The safest way I can think of is to ensure players do not leave the passage through the sidebar, but instead always through a link in the passage:
