Ads to DOM

I guess this is the next project, moving my old JS work to DOM. Apparently I didn't have a good grasp on scope yet, and kept passing a lot of things into subfunctions with unnecessary arguments.

Anyway, fixes #3226 (closed) and improves the refresh a little bit so you keep your place on the page when you make a choice.
