Sometimes main-roster characters are moved back to testing (and must be sponsored again) for certain updates made to them. These updates usually consist of either:

<li>A substantial dialogue/art update by someone other than the original writer(s)/artists(s) of the character.</li>
<li>A substantial dialogue/art update by someone other than the original writer(s)/artist(s) of the character.</li>
<li>An art update by their original artist(s) that is substantial enough to change something significant about the character, such as their model's silhouette or the majority of their poses/expressions/mechanics.</li>
